Hooked Seafood Restaurant
About This Spot
Stepping into Hooked Seafood Restaurant, nestled on Hanover Street in Manchester’s lively downtown, feels like finding a familiar harbor just as the tide turns. The space carries a quietly energetic rhythm—bustling enough to hum with life but intimate enough to invite easy conversation and comfortable pauses. This is a spot where the clinking of glasses blends seamlessly with the casual warmth of attentive service, making it a gathering place for those who appreciate both the craft of seafood and the joy of shared moments.
Hooked balances the charm of a neighborhood bar with the thoughtful care of a seafood kitchen that honors the coast’s bounty without fuss. Whether you settle in for a laid-back drink or a meal that unwinds from fresh oysters on ice to lobster mac and cheese, the experience is framed by a genuine attention to flavor—and the kind of portions that feel generous rather than rushed. The menu hints at coastal classics alongside unexpected nods, like smoky blackened salmon or playful takes on comfort fare, creating a journey that’s as lively as the bar’s spirited cocktail list.
The atmosphere encourages lingering, whether accompanied by friends recounting their day or quietly enjoying a bite solo. Locals appreciate the blend of familiar favorites and the little surprises that make each visit slightly different—an ever-so-slight saltiness here, a touch more mayo there—reminding you this place is crafted by people, not machines. Though it often draws a crowd, the friendly, steady pace never feels hurried, inviting you to stay awhile and take in the genuine ease that comes from a spot well loved.
Hooked’s charm lies in its unpretentious vibe—where the focus is on good food, well-made drinks, and a space that welcomes you to create your own stories. It’s a cozy corner of Manchester where the everyday feels just a bit more special, marked by the simple pleasure of being perfectly hooked.

The "Hooked" restaurant isnt open, so you're seated on the side of Ignite. Its small so you might wait a few minutes. The owner herself is working and she's very nice. I Ordered oysters on the half shell. They are from Connecticut. They were not cleaned thoroughly so I had a good amount of sand and grit. The sword fish with lobster meat unfortunately both over cooked although the flavor was good. Ill be back to try again

Stopped in for some drinks and calamari. Large portion that was very well seasoned and tender. Spicy paloma with ghost pepper tequila was unique and refreshing. Look forward to coming back in for the entrees!

You HAVE to try this place! Our anniversary dinner was flawless. Absolutely delicious apps (coconut shrimp and artichoke/sgrimp/crab dip), generous and full of taste entrees and service/ambience- just great. Keep up the good work!

Yummy lobster rolls! Good portion although I did order the same thing 3 days in a row. Esch time the lobster tasted different. One day it was a lot saltier but not overwhelming. Another had a lot of mayo. I get a side of rice instead of fries. Fries were good but I wanted to try the other sides. Friendly service. Can not take out before 2pm but I was able to order a head. Always crowded but I would recommend.

I was dragged here by family. I wasn't that hungry, but man, I wish I had been hungrier. The day I went, lobster bisque was the soup of the day. I got a bowl of that; so good, a little rich, but they give you just the perfect amount. A local mom-and-pop restaurant, our waitress was fantastic. There was an older lady—I'm guessing it was the owner—who went around making sure everything was going promptly with her staff and food. For instance, the table in front of us had an issue. I could overhear the owner taking care of it. I love when you go to a local place that takes pride in its food and business, and makes sure the customer is happy and satisfied. Remember, all restaurants can have off days. Their desserts are made in-house. My table shared a peanut butter cheesecake and a lemon blueberry cheesecake. Man, I could just go back for the desserts, LOL. Great place. If I ever visit that area again, I will surely stop by for dinner and bring my appetite.

Food is delicious and the atmosphere is great for small groups or a date! Will definitely be returning to try something else. Also, the artichoke shrimp crab dip was delicious

Very friendly service and I think owner was helping the staff with different activities. Overall Good food but not wow… the oysters were from Connecticut, extremely small, not l very well cleaned and sand could be feel. The cioppino was ok with same kind of concern: clams, mussels, and scallops need a lit more attention to be cleaned well before cooking because of the sand which could ruin the food
